All lessons are private and are held here in my studio at my home in Chapel Hill. I offer 30 and 45-minute lessons. I teach acoustic guitar (rhythm and flatpicking), mandolin, banjo and lead and harmony vocal accompaniment. Ages 7 to 77.

Teaching Philosophy:

I tailor lessons to your needs. We start where you are and move forward. We discover what you love about music and tailor the lessons to get you where you can play what you love. It's important to me that you feel comfortable and relaxed while learning. Once we've worked together for a while, I also keep you on your toes so that you don't get into practicing ruts.

Rates:

Each first lesson is $25. If we find your learning style and my teaching style compatible after the first lesson, then you can reserve a weekly time slot by paying a monthly fee of

$100.00 for four 30-minute lessons OR
$120.00 for four 45-minute lessons.

If you do not want to come weekly, I offer individual lessons by appointment. These lessons are 45 minutes each and cost $35.00. I cannot guarantee a weekly spot, though spots can open up due to cancellations. I recommend calling 24 hours ahead of time.

Monthly tuition is due at the first lesson of each month.
